'''Crystal key''' opens a Crystal chest for coins and other loot. It can be made from a loop half of key and a tooth half of key, or obtained as a complete key from sources such as the [[King Black Dragon]].

== Making keys ==
Use a loop half of key on a tooth half of key. One of each half makes one crystal key. If you have stacks of both halves, the action combines as many complete pairs as possible at once.

== Opening the chest ==
Carry a crystal key in your inventory and choose '''Open''' on a Crystal chest. Opening normally consumes a key. Each reward roll gives 50,000–100,000 coins alongside loot from the chest's reward table.

Possible rewards include crystal shards, dragon bolts, clue scrolls and a Kraken tentacle. Rewards are added to your inventory, or dropped if there is no room. Players with at least $500 total donated receive the rewards in their bank instead.

Donator status can increase the number of keys processed per click. If keys remain after an opening, click again to continue. The chest's '''Check''' option reports how many Crystal chests you have opened.

An enhanced Crystal chest also accepts an ordinary crystal key when you are not carrying an enhanced crystal key. This uses the ordinary Crystal chest reward table.
