Malakar attacks every eight ticks. His normal attacks target all living players in the arena and use either magic or ranged, with a max hit of 78. Use '''Protect from Magic''' against magic and '''Protect from Missiles''' against ranged. The correct prayer reduces the max hit to 6 rather than blocking the attack completely.

Switch prayers before the projectile lands: protection is checked when the attack reaches you. His normal attacks ignore Defence, so prayer switching is more useful than relying on armour to avoid the hit.

During the portal special, Malakar assigns each player a colour and displays green and yellow portals. Check the message telling you whether you are '''GREEN''' or '''YELLOW''', then stand directly on the portal of that colour.
