The Dragon hunter staff is a tradeable, one-handed magic weapon requiring 75 Magic to equip. It is a rare drop from Galvek and can also be received from Galvek mystery boxes and weapon mystery boxes.
Using the staff
The staff attacks with its own Magic spell. Its ordinary attack does not consume runes or staff charges. Its base attack speed is 4 ticks and its base range is 10 tiles. Effects that change attack speed can alter this interval.
Against dragons, the staff's Magic attacks gain 50% accuracy and 40% damage. You can use a shield with it.
The spell's base max hit scales with your current Magic level and equipment Magic damage bonus. Before other damage boosts, it is 22 at 75 Magic and 30 at 99 Magic with no equipment Magic damage bonus. A boosted Magic level can therefore raise the staff's damage.
