Kraken is a Slayer boss in Kraken Cove. It requires 87 Slayer to attack and drops the trident of the seas and Kraken tentacle.
Getting there
Choose Kraken in Sarim Hub to reach Kraken Cove. Walk northwest to the boss entrance and choose Enter. Confirm the warning to enter the public room.
Bring a Magic weapon, enough runes or weapon charges, and food. Ranged damage is reduced against Kraken, so Magic is a useful starting choice.
Fight
- Attack the large boss whirlpool until Kraken surfaces.
- Keep attacking Kraken and eat when needed. Its four tentacles awaken as you attack.
- Collect your loot, then attack the whirlpool again after the encounter resets.
You do not need to disturb all four small whirlpools before attacking Kraken on Sarim. The main boss can wake from damage directly.
Kraken's attacks hit up to 28, and the tentacles add smaller hits. Protection prayers do not block their attacks, so keep food available. Damage and healing perks can help, but bring supplies for the whole trip.
When Kraken dies, the tentacles die too. Loot is placed at the killer's position. Use the room exit when you need to resupply.
