Sarim RSPS doesn't wipe accounts. Our policy is “No server resets. Ever.”, so your progress stays. Changing your own XP difficulty does reset your skills, but that's your choice, not a server wipe.
The published commitment
The no-reset commitment concerns server resets. It should be read separately from actions you take on your own account, the consequences of death and changes to the game’s balance.
An XP difficulty change resets your skills. Party Pete offers up to three difficulty changes. Confirming one resets skills to level 1 and Hitpoints to 10. This player-requested action is different from a server-wide reset. Read the XP change procedure before using it.
Keep these situations separate
| Situation | What it means | Where to check |
|---|---|---|
| Server reset | A reset of player progression across the server. Sarim’s published commitment is no server resets. | This policy page. |
| Voluntary XP difficulty change | Your own skills reset when you confirm a different difficulty. | XP rates and changes. |
| Hardcore death | An unsafe death can remove hardcore status or use a group life. | Account-mode rules and the relevant activity guide. |
| Content or balance update | Mechanics, item effects and rewards may change. | Published updates. |
Evaluate a policy by what it actually says
When comparing private servers, look for a written progression policy rather than assuming that every server follows the same model. A permanent world and a separately announced seasonal mode answer different needs.
Do not infer a future season’s duration, carry-over rules or rewards from the existing world’s policy. Those details need their own announcement. Sarim’s development references to Gridmaster do not establish a released seasonal mode or a launch date.
Planning a self-sufficient account
For an Ironman, each equipment target also involves a route to its supplies and ingredients. A continuing account lets you plan several linked goals: build combat gear, collect materials, improve attachments and attempt new encounters.
The same applies to a group’s shared progress. Discuss which resources are shared and which goals each member wants to pursue. The no-reset commitment does not remove Ironman restrictions or hardcore death consequences.
Long-term goals still have changing details
Use the Echo boss guides and Demonic Pact reference for unlocks, reward sources and crafting conditions. Use Updates for changes to those systems.
A progression policy is not a guarantee that an item’s market price, effect or place in a build will stay the same. Check the current rules before spending a rare component or planning an upgrade.
Quick answers
Does “no reset” mean I cannot change my XP rate?
No. Difficulty changes are available, with their own explicit skill-reset consequence.
Does it protect hardcore status from death?
No. Hardcore status follows the account mode’s death rules.
Where should I ask about a situation this page does not cover?
Ask Sarim support before making the account or progression decision. A future mode’s terms must be stated in its own announcement.
Gridmaster seasonal progression
Gridmaster is a separate seasonal mode on World 2. Its character and board progression belong to that season, while the main character remains separate. Main-account Grid points include points earned across seasons, less what you have spent.
Read Gridmaster for the mode's setup and Gridmaster rewards for the permanent main-account reward shop.
