Sarachnis is the spider boss in Forthos Dungeon. The reviewed encounter has 400 hitpoints and uses crush melee at close range or ranged attacks when its target is farther away. Its web-and-move mechanic breaks up the fight, and successful ordinary attacks heal the boss.

Getting there

Choose Sarachnis in the boss teleports. The destination is outside the lair. The lair entrance offers global and instanced options; the instanced option reached through this entrance skips the token charge. That entrance option refuses entry while you are defending in combat.

Dungeon webs can be cut using a knife in the inventory or a sharp equipped weapon. A failed slash can be retried. Ordinary boss teleports remain subject to teleport blocks, area restrictions and the usual player-state checks.

Fighting Sarachnis

Each ordinary melee or ranged hit has a base maximum of 31 before player effects. A hit that deals positive damage heals Sarachnis for 10, so preventing damage also limits its healing.

The web move freezes nearby players for six seconds, places temporary webs, and sends Sarachnis toward a lair corner. Combat is reset during the move, and the boss chooses a nearby player when it resumes. Reposition and re-engage after the movement finishes. The reviewed handler's minion-summoning sections are disabled.

Group fights need care: the current ranged implementation can repeat a hit on the same target for each nearby player. The movement counter is shared between Sarachnis encounters, so a strict four-attacks-per-player rhythm should not be assumed. Private-lair movement has not been checked in the running game.

Selected drops

These are ordinary baseline award chances with one normal loot slot, zero drop-rate bonus, no extra-roll effects, no seasonal override and no loot-transforming effects. Quantities are per selected award. Equipment and perks can change quantities or delivery.

Item Quantity per award Baseline chance per kill
Bones 1 Guaranteed base entry
Jar of eyes 1 1/485
Giant egg sac (full) 1 1/38
Sarachnis cudgel 1 1/485

The random reward is chosen after successful rare drops take priority over common drops. The chances above include competition between successful rare entries. The giant egg sac is part of the common selection pool; it is not guaranteed.

Pet

Sraracha is checked separately from the item table. With an unmodified pet average and one pet roll, the chance is 1/1001. Pet boosts and additional pet rolls change the chance for a whole kill.
