← Boss directory

Vorkath is a private-arena dragon encounter with 750 hitpoints in the reviewed implementation. Its regular attacks combine melee, magic, ranged and several dragonfire attacks. After six regular attacks, it uses a special; the acid and zombified-spawn specials alternate.

Getting there

Choose Vorkath in the boss teleports, then climb the barrier to create a private arena. Poke the sleeping dragon to begin the fight. The reviewed entry route charges no fee and has no boss-specific quest or level check; general teleport restrictions still apply.

After a kill, Vorkath returns to its sleeping form. Poke it again for another fight. Leaving the private area destroys that arena.

Attacks and responses

Melee has a base maximum of 35, while ordinary magic and ranged attacks have a base maximum of 32. These are damage-roll bounds, before player protections and effects.

The dragonfire attacks differ: fire breath rolls up to 80, venom breath up to 60, and the purple breath up to 70. Purple breath also disables active prayers; check and restore your prayer after it lands. Venom breath can apply venom. Dragonfire resistance is penetrated by some of these attacks, so protection should not be treated as a promise of zero damage.

The high fireball targets your position. Three ticks later it can roll 50–90 damage if you are still within one tile of that position. Move far enough to leave that danger area.

During the acid special, damage dealt to Vorkath is halved. Acid tiles can damage you and heal Vorkath. The repeated fireballs check their original target tile when they land: moving off that tile prevents their damage. Keep moving through clear tiles rather than standing in acid.

The spawn special freezes you for 15 seconds and makes Vorkath immune to attacks while the zombified spawn is alive. An unblocked Crumble Undead hit deals the spawn's remaining hitpoints. Kill it before it reaches you; its explosion can roll up to 60 damage. When it dies or disappears, Vorkath's immunity ends and the freeze is cleared.

Selected drops

The table uses one ordinary baseline loot slot, zero drop-rate bonus, no extra-roll or seasonal effects, and no loot-transforming effects. Chances include competition among all successful rare entries. Quantities are per award.

Item Quantity per award Baseline chance per kill
Superior dragon bones 2 Guaranteed base entry
Blue dragonhide 2 Guaranteed base entry
Dragonbone necklace 1 1/425
Jar of decay 1 1/623
Draconic visage 1 1/1247
Skeletal visage 1 1/1247

Superior dragon bones and blue dragonhide are base guaranteed entries, generated separately from the random slot. Bone-processing equipment can consume bones before they reach the ground.

Pet

Vorki is rolled separately. With the unmodified pet average and one pet roll, its chance is 1/1001. Boosts and extra pet rolls change the per-kill chance.
