Kalphite Queen is a two-form boss in the Kalphite Lair. Defeating the beetle form restores her hitpoints and starts the second form; ordinary loot is awarded after the second form dies. Each form has 255 base hitpoints, so a full encounter requires defeating both health bars.
This page covers the normal encounter. Echo Kalphite Queen has separate access and reward rules.
Getting there
Select Kalphite queen in the boss teleport menu. The destination is the upper lair near the route to the hive. The normal hive entrance requires a rope to have been set up: use a rope on the entrance once, then enter. Travelling from the surface also requires a separate rope at the outer entrance. Each setup consumes one rope.
An optional shortcut requires 86 Agility. That shortcut level is separate from the normal entrance. Standard teleport restrictions still apply, including teleblock, the level-20 Wilderness teleport limit, and restrictions imposed by your current activity.
Forms and combat
The first form resists ranged and magic attacks. The second form resists melee attacks. These resistances increase her defence against those styles; they do not make her immune to them. Her base defence bonuses also change between forms: crush has the lowest first-form bonus, while magic and ranged have the lowest second-form bonuses.

Both forms use melee, magic and ranged attacks, with a base four-tick attack interval. Magic and ranged attacks bypass the ordinary defence accuracy check. Her magic can chain between nearby players, hitting up to four times in total; subsequent targets must be within two tiles of the previous target. Spreading out limits those chains. Her ranged attack can also hit other attackable players around its target.
The Queen can bring idle nearby NPCs into combat. Both normal forms are susceptible to poison and immune to venom. During the transformation she is temporarily locked and protected from damage; wait for the new form to become attackable.
Drops
The table lists every entry in the normal second-form main drop table. Chances are calculated for one ordinary loot roll with no drop-rate bonuses, extra rolls, reward-set effects or special-mode changes. They describe the selected item, rather than an initial chance before selection. Quantities are before item-processing effects. Coins, pets and other additional reward systems are separate.

Additional rewards
The Kalphite princess pet has a baseline chance of 1 in 1,001 per pet roll for the resolved killer, before pet and drop-rate modifiers. Extra pet rolls change the chance per encounter.
The boss also has separate bonus-coin rolls. Without donation benefits, those can award 500,000 or 2,000,000 coins from the common roll, 2,000,000 or 5,000,000 from the medium roll, and 25,000,000 or 50,000,000 from the rare roll. These rolls can succeed independently of the main table.
