God Wars Dungeon
The God Wars Dungeon is home to four bosses: General Graardor, Kree'arra, Commander Zilyana and K'ril Tsutsaroth. Each boss has three bodyguards and drops its god's equipment, godsword hilt and godsword shards.
Getting there
Choose Godwars Dungeon in Sarim Hub. The teleport takes you inside the main dungeon.
Bring food, prayer potions or super restores, combat potions, and a teleport for resupplying. Pack ammunition or charges for your weapon. Equip items belonging to the gods whose followers you pass to stop those followers attacking you automatically. God items do not protect you from the bosses or their bodyguards.
The route from the main dungeon depends on your boss:
| Area | Boss | What to bring or do |
|---|---|---|
| Bandos, northwest | General Graardor | Bring a hammer and open the stronghold gate. |
| Armadyl, southwest | Kree'arra | Use Grapple on the pillar. Bring a ranged weapon for the boss. |
| Saradomin, southeast | Commander Zilyana | Bring two ropes for your first trip. Attach them at the two descents. The first descent checks 70 Agility; boosts and Momentum can help meet this requirement. |
| Zamorak, northeast | K'ril Tsutsaroth | Cross the icy water with 70 Hitpoints and at least 70 current health. Bring poison protection for the fight. The return swim drains Prayer. |
A dragon warhammer in your inventory or equipped also opens the Bandos gate. A normal hammer in your inventory is enough.
Entering a boss room
Kill followers of the boss's god to build its kill count, then use the boss-room door. Normal entry costs 40 kills of that faction. The door removes the required count each time you enter. Leaving the dungeon resets your faction counts.
There are two ways to skip the count:
- Activate Godslayer in your player perks. It lets you enter without kill count or a key.
- Carry an ecumenical key. The door consumes one key instead of using kill count.
A carried key is used before your kill count, even if you already have enough kills. Keep it out of your inventory if you want to use kill count instead. An active Godslayer perk takes priority over the key.
Donator ranks change the normal kill-count cost:
| Rank | Kills needed per entry |
|---|---|
| No donator rank | 40 |
| Donator | 35 |
| Super Donator | 30 |
| Elite Donator | 20 |
| Noble Donator | 10 |
| Gold, Platinum, Legendary or Supreme Donator | 0 |
Instances
Use Instance on the boss-room door to open the instance menu. Creating a room costs 500,000 coins, taken from your inventory or bank. After creating it, choose Enter your instance. This entry does not use kill count or an ecumenical key.
Choose Public, Password or Private access when creating the room. Ironman rooms are private, and Ironmen cannot enter a friend's room. A room lasts 60 minutes before monsters stop respawning. It is destroyed if left empty for 10 minutes.
Boss fights
Use the full boss guides for attack details, bodyguards and drops.
| Boss | Basic method |
|---|---|
| General Graardor | Use melee and Protect from Melee when he attacks you up close. Players staying out of melee range can use Protect from Missiles. |
| Kree'arra | Use ranged and Protect from Missiles. Keep attacking after eating so he does not move in for melee attacks. |
| Commander Zilyana | Use ranged, keep run on, and move around the room so she cannot reach you. Protect from Magic blocks Growler and Zilyana's Magic attack. |
| K'ril Tsutsaroth | Use melee with Protect from Melee and poison protection. Keep health above 49 and refill Prayer after his piercing attack. |
Kill the bodyguards after the boss, then collect loot and prepare for the next spawn. God items do not make the room safe.
Altars and leaving
Each boss room has an altar. Pray restores Prayer once you are out of combat. The restore has a 10-minute cooldown shared by all four altars. Kill the remaining bodyguards and wait for combat to end before trying it.
The altar's Teleport option takes you outside the boss-room door. Entering the normal room again costs more kill count or another key unless you have a bypass. Use your own teleport when you need to bank and resupply.
