Demonic gorillas are monsters that switch combat styles and protection prayers. Their rewards include zenyte shards, ballista parts, demonic blood and demonic string.
Getting there
Use the Demonic gorillas teleport in Sarim Hub to reach the cave. Bring at least two attack styles so you can keep damaging a gorilla when its protection prayer changes.
Fight
Attack with a style the gorilla is not protecting against. After taking 120 damage, it changes its protection to the style of the hit that crossed the threshold. Switch weapons or spells when its overhead changes.
Match your own protection prayer to its attacks. A gorilla changes attacking style after three consecutive zero-damage ordinary hits, and it can also switch when trying to melee from out of reach. Watch the actual attack rather than assuming a fixed cycle.
Step away from your current tile when it drops a boulder. Remaining on that tile takes damage equal to one third of your current hitpoints, rounded down, through protection prayers.
