The Eternal shark is reusable food that heals 30 Hitpoints per bite. If you own one, keep it in your inventory and choose Eat. It remains after eating and does not add an attack delay.
Eating
Each bite has a one-second cooldown shared by the character, even if you carry several sharks or switch between copies. Eating at full Hitpoints does nothing. Use Check to see whether death protection is ready and how long remains on its cooldown.
The shark uses its own healing action. Normal-food healing and food-saving perks do not modify its bite.
Death protection
While the shark is in your inventory, an eligible hit that would kill you instead leaves you at 1 Hitpoint, then heals 75% of your maximum Hitpoints, rounded down with a minimum of 1. At 99 maximum Hitpoints, this restores 74 Hitpoints after the protected hit, leaving you at 75.
Protection then has a 30-second cooldown shared by the character. Carrying extra sharks does not give extra protection charges. Eating and death protection have separate cooldowns.
This protection works through incoming hits. It does not prevent death caused directly by an activity's own death or failure rule. Continue avoiding mechanics and keep healing while protection recharges.
Restrictions
The shark cannot be eaten while stunned, dead or blocked from eating. Both eating and death protection are unavailable when food is disabled by the duel's No food rule or the On a Diet invocation in a started Tombs of Amascut raid.
