Dragonfire shield is a shield requiring 75 Defence. It provides dragonfire protection and can absorb dragonfire to power an activated attack.

Making the shield

Use a Draconic visage on an anti-dragon shield and confirm the combination. One of each component is used to make the shield.

Charges and activation

Equip the shield and absorb dragonfire to gain charges, up to a maximum of 50. Use Inspect in the inventory or Check while equipped to see the remaining charges.

Use Activate or Operate while the charged form is equipped to fire at your current combat target. The attack normally consumes one stored charge and has a two-minute cooldown. Charge-conservation effects can save a charge while more than one remains. It cannot be used in the Duel Arena or a tournament. If the shield has no stored charges, absorb dragonfire before trying to activate it.

Using the last charge returns the shield to its uncharged form. The inventory Empty option also returns it to the uncharged form and discards all remaining charges.

Both forms provide dragonfire protection. Follow the relevant boss guide for any additional prayer or antifire requirements.
