Fortune Finder is an item perk made at Item Workbench. Its compatible equipment is listed above.
What it changes
Increases eligible rare monster-drop entry chances. An entry must have a listed table rate of 1/50 or rarer, before global monster drop-rate adjustments. Level 1 currently gives the same chance as having no attachment.
When it helps
Levels 2–5 give additional eligible monster-drop chances while the ring is worn. It targets those entry rolls rather than adding global Drop Rate to pets, raid purples or reward containers.
Worked example
If an eligible entry has a 1% chance after normal drop-rate adjustments, no attachment and level 1 both make its roll chance 1.01%. Level 5 makes it 1.05%: 0.04 percentage points, or about 3.96% more than the current chance without the attachment. Selecting between several successful rare entries can change the item's final chance per kill.
Levels
| Level | Effects at this level |
|---|---|
| 1 | Rare-entry chance factor: 1.01× Extra chance over no attachment, before rounding/caps: 0% |
| 2 | Rare-entry chance factor: 1.02× Extra chance over no attachment, before rounding/caps: about 0.99% |
| 3 | Rare-entry chance factor: 1.03× Extra chance over no attachment, before rounding/caps: about 1.98% |
| 4 | Rare-entry chance factor: 1.04× Extra chance over no attachment, before rounding/caps: about 2.97% |
| 5 | Rare-entry chance factor: 1.05× Extra chance over no attachment, before rounding/caps: about 3.96% |
Limits and interactions
For eligible entry rolls, having no attachment currently gives the same 1.01× factor as level 1. Levels 2–5 improve on that starting value; the table shows the extra chance relative to no attachment.
It does not change guaranteed loot, common or uncommon entries, separate monster pet rolls, raid purples, or rewards rolled when opening boxes and clue caskets. A box or casket can still qualify as a rare item dropped directly by a monster.
The ordinary monster-drop benefit is inactive in Gridmaster. The ring must be worn when the reward is calculated.
The factor combines with applicable normal drop-rate adjustments and the separate player reward-set bonus. An entry chance cannot exceed 100%.
A kill can make several rolls and select one item from several successful rare entries. The final chance of receiving a particular item need not rise by exactly the factor shown.
Attach and upgrade
At home, open Item Workbench and choose Perks Mode. Select the equipment from your inventory, then choose Fortune Finder. The first application rolls a level from 1 to 5. Applying it again can raise its level; an equal or lower roll keeps the current level and does not refund materials used. Each attempt normally spends the recipe again; eligible donation ranks can preserve individual recipe entries. This does not change the level-roll chances. Level 5 cannot be upgraded further.
| Material | Full recipe | Remove Perk return |
|---|---|---|
| Refined Essence | 150 | 105 |
| Prismatic Essence | 50 | 35 |
| Ascendant Catalyst | 2 | 1 |
Stored and carried materials combine; storage is used first. The return column is for Remove Perk in Perks Mode. It refunds part of one base recipe to Workbench Storage, even after several upgrades. Disintegration destroys the equipment and its attachments.
Level roll chances
| Rolled level | Chance per attempt |
|---|---|
| 1 | 45% |
| 2 | 20% |
| 3 | 23% |
| 4 | 9% |
| 5 | 3% |
These are the chances of each exact rolled level. Selecting a level preview does not choose the result. Repeated attempts do not guarantee level 5.
