Ravager is an item perk made at Item Workbench. Its compatible equipment is listed above.

What it changes

Activates when an NPC hit resolves while you are already strictly below half of your base maximum HP, the cooldown is ready and you are outside the Wilderness. It does not need a random trigger roll.

During the window, qualifying monster attacks receive the level's maximum-damage bonus and +200% to their attack-roll bonus. Supported attack intervals are halved, rounded down with a one-tick floor. Healing does not end the active window.

The cooldown begins when Ravager activates. Its damage and accuracy bonuses require the attached weapon to remain equipped.

When it helps

Creates a short burst of faster, harder and more accurate attacks after you are already low on HP. Healing afterward can preserve the burst while reducing the danger of staying low.

Worked example

With base 99 HP, 49 HP qualifies and 50 does not. If level 5 activates on an eligible NPC hit, a supported four-tick attack becomes two ticks for a 48-second window. With no other modifiers, a rolled maximum of 40 becomes 60 and a base attack-roll bonus of 1,000 becomes 3,000. The hit chance and final damage still depend on the target and encounter rules.

Limits and interactions

Cannot activate on player hits or while in the Wilderness. The HP test happens before the incoming hit's damage is deducted: a hit that first pushes you below half does not activate it until a later NPC hit resolves. A blocked or fully prayed NPC hit can activate it if you are already below half.

The damage bonus increases random damage rolls; fixed-damage hits bypass that maximum-damage scaling. The +200% accuracy contribution joins other additive attack-roll bonuses and is not +200 percentage points of hit chance.

The speed benefit covers ordinary melee and ranged attacks, including chinchompas, scythe variants, thunder khopesh, blowpipes and built-in powered-staff attacks. Spellbook casts, corrupted javelin and Tonalztics of ralos do not receive the speed benefit. Specials and other speed modifiers can change the final interval.

Healing, unequipping the weapon or entering the Wilderness does not cancel an already-active window. Damage and accuracy still require an equipped Ravager weapon; supported attacks use the remaining window for their speed benefit. Ordinary Gridmaster attacks can qualify, but secondary perk hits, Echo and Guardian hits receive no Ravager damage or accuracy boost.

Ravager and Deathwish damage bonuses add together in the same maximum-damage bonus pool. They do not multiply as separate final damage bonuses.

Attach and upgrade

At home, open Item Workbench and choose Perks Mode. Select the equipment from your inventory, then choose Ravager. The first application rolls a level from 1 to 5. Applying it again can raise its level; an equal or lower roll keeps the current level and does not refund materials used. Each attempt normally spends the recipe again; eligible donation ranks can preserve individual recipe entries. This does not change the level-roll chances. Level 5 cannot be upgraded further.

Material Full recipe Remove Perk return
Refined Essence 50 35
Prismatic Essence 30 21
Resonant Catalyst 5 3

Stored and carried materials combine; storage is used first. The return column is for Remove Perk in Perks Mode. It refunds part of one base recipe to Workbench Storage, even after several upgrades. Disintegration destroys the equipment and its attachments.

Level roll chances

Rolled level Chance per attempt
1 60%
2 22%
3 9%
4 6%
5 3%

These are the chances of each exact rolled level. Selecting a level preview does not choose the result. Repeated attempts do not guarantee level 5.
