Halloween event is a seasonal event at home. Fight the Undead Legion, enter the magical pumpkin tree to face Jack the Hollow, and exchange complete candy sets at the spooky cauldron for Hallow Tokens.
Taking part
- Watch for the invasion announcement on the hour while the event is active.
- Defeat all three Undead Legion waves at home. The waves contain 8, 7 and 6 enemies. They do not automatically attack passers-by; attack a Legion enemy to join the fight.
- Use the magical pumpkin tree once Jack the Hollow appears. The encounter lasts up to 20 minutes.
- Deal damage to Jack and stay online until he dies to receive your personal rewards.
Each Legion enemy gives every online player who damaged it 1–3 Hallow Tokens and 1–2 candies of one random colour. You do not need the finishing blow. Jack gives 45–65 tokens and 8–14 assorted candies, with separate bonus reward and pet rolls.
Candy and the cauldron
There are nine candy colours: brown, blue, white, purple, red, green, black, orange and pink. Keep one of each for a complete set. Candy is used at the cauldron or fed to your Halloween dog; choosing Eat directs you to the cauldron.
Use any candy on the spooky cauldron with complete sets in your inventory. It exchanges as many full sets as you hold, giving 15 Hallow Tokens per set. Extra copies of colours that do not make a complete set stay in your inventory.
After exchanging at least one set that UTC day, choose Rummage on the cauldron for the daily reward. It gives 5 tokens on the first day, rising by one for each consecutive daily claim to 10 tokens at a six-day streak. Missing a day resets the next claim to five. Daily claims reset at 00:00 UTC. Rummaging also has a 1/20 chance of a Spooky mystery box and a separate 1/100 chance of unlocking Spidey dog if you have not obtained it.
Daily trick-or-treaters
Four Trick-or-Treaters are scattered around home. Each gives 2–6 random candies once per UTC day. Speak to all four; their claims are separate. Keep six free inventory spaces for each claim. Their dialogue also opens the Hallow Token shop and the dog adoption and progress options.
Boss candy
During the event, eligible bosses have a 1/10 chance per reward opportunity to give 1–2 random candies in addition to their other rewards. This includes bosses such as the God Wars generals, Dagannoth Kings, Kalphite Queen, King Black Dragon, Cerberus, Abyssal Sire, Vorkath, Zulrah, Nex, Maggot King, Malakar and Sol Heredit. The exact reward recipient follows the boss's loot or contribution rules.
Hallow Token shop
Spend tokens through a Trick-or-Treater's Hallow Token shop option.

Halloween dogs
Adopt Spidey dog from a Trick-or-Treater for 1,000 Hallow Tokens. Leave one free inventory slot. A pet you already unlocked uses the normal pet reclaim system instead of another adoption.
Summon your own Spidey dog and use candy on it. Feed 100 candies in total, with a limit of 10 per UTC day, to unlock Spooky dog. The final feeding needs a free inventory slot. This takes at least ten daily feeding allowances. After completing the progression, the Trick-or-Treater's Dog progress / morph option lets you change an active Halloween dog between its two unlocked forms.
