Dark totem is used to enter Skotizo's lair. It is made by combining a dark totem base, middle and top, and the completed totem is consumed when you enter.
Collecting the pieces
Kill monsters inside the Catacombs of Kourend to obtain totem pieces. Keep the pieces you collect: future piece drops favour whichever component you have the fewest of across your inventory and bank. Ties are resolved in the order base, middle, then top.
Once all three different pieces are in your inventory, use any two different pieces on each other. This consumes one base, one middle and one top to make a complete dark totem.
Entering Skotizo's lair
- Take a complete dark totem and your combat supplies to the Catacombs altar.
- Choose the altar's Teleport option.
- Confirm entry when prompted. The totem is consumed and the encounter begins.
