Gridmaster is Sarim's seasonal mode on World 2. Complete a fixed 7 × 7 task board to unlock relics, gathering tools, stronger combat masteries and higher XP rates. Tasks can be completed in any order. Full rows and columns give additional rewards.
Your Gridmaster character has separate seasonal progression from your main character. Grid points earned from completed tasks buy cosmetics on your main account through the League Tutor at home.
Getting started
- Select World 2 when a Gridmaster season is open. Use your account login; your main character's equipment, skills and progression are separate.
- Enable the Sarim Gridmaster plugin in your Sarim client's plugin settings. It is disabled by default.
- Click Gridmaster in the client sidebar to open the board.
- Select the centre tile and read the Guide. Finish the introduction and claim your first gathering tool.
- Click a task to read its requirements and rewards in Details. Complete the activity, return to the board and claim any available reward.
- Use Relics to manage the tools and relics you have claimed.
A new seasonal character starts with level 1 skills and 10 Hitpoints, a bronze axe, bronze pickaxe, tinderbox and small fishing net. The character starts as an Ironman. The seasonal XP multiplier starts at 5×.
::gridmaster opens the action menu for owned relics and tool settings. Open the board through the sidebar to inspect tasks and claim rewards.
Plan your first unlocks
The centre introduction is the easiest first completion. Pick a gathering tool that suits your immediate supplies, then use nearby tasks to open useful relics. You can return for the other tools later.
- Focus on the centre row and column for XP upgrades, and the neighbouring inner rows and columns for mastery upgrades. Their outer tasks are easier than the corner tasks.
- Catching 25 lobsters, looting Barrows after all six brothers and winning Pest Control with at least 50 activity each increase your XP multiplier automatically. Completing row 4 and column 4 provides the remaining XP upgrades.
- Defeating Scurrius and Bryophyta gives your first combat mastery tiers. Rows 3 and 5 and columns 3 and 5 provide four more tiers.
- Claim relics as you earn them. Completing a tile does not automatically activate its relic or place its equipment in your inventory.
- Complete tasks along a shared row or column when practical. A line requires all seven tasks; diagonals do not count.
See Gridmaster board and tasks for claim rules and a progression route, and Gridmaster task list for all 49 tasks and their exact completion conditions.

Seasonal progression and main rewards
XP and mastery upgrades take effect when their task or line is complete. Lamps, gathering tools, relics and equipment require claims. Grid points are earned from task completion and do not require spending a lamp or claiming a relic.
The three raid-unique tasks each offer one mega-weapon choice: twisted bow, scythe of vitur or Tumeken's shadow. You cannot choose the same weapon twice. Decide the order you want to obtain them before claiming.
To spend Grid points, return to your main character and trade the League Tutor at home. A full board earns 26,300 points. See Gridmaster rewards for prices and balance rules.
